Text Size

Some of the modern Web Browsers, such as Firefox (my preferred browser), Opera and Konqueror — a popular Linux browser, will allow you to choose from a list of pre–defined page styles. Besides the basic page style you can choose 'Large Text' or 'Xtra Large'. Pull down the View menu and select 'Style', 'Page Style' or 'Use Stylesheet' to see the options.

Internet Explorer lets you change the text size, by selecting 'Text Size' in the View menu, either larger or smaller.

All modern browsers allow you to change text size, mostly using the keyboard Control and + or −, but using this method to alter text size may affect the layout adversely.

Keyboard Navigation

Most browsers utilize the Tab key to change focus to the next available link. Go backwards with Shift–Tab. On loading a fresh page on this web site using the access key '1' will skip the navigation links and go to the main page content. When implemented access key '2' will access a search function and access key '3' will access the main menu. Windows users press ALT+'1', Mac users press the Control key + '1'

Screen Readers

Text–to–Speech screen readers should be able to read the expanded title of acronyms and abbreviations. Mouse users can hover over an abbreviation or acronym and see the expanded text.
